Sell your gemstones

Reach buyers in Europe, North America, the Gulf and East Asia — without handing your stone to a middleman or your phone number to a stranger.

Who sells on ManikPola

Miners with a good week. Cutters clearing finished work. Families with an inherited stone nobody wants to break up a household over. Established dealers who want international reach without international overhead. If the stone is legally yours to sell, you can list it.

What makes a listing sell

Photographs, above everything

Buyers cannot hold the stone, so your photographs are the stone. Shoot in indirect daylight — near a window on an overcast day is close to perfect. Use a plain white or mid-grey background. Take one face-up shot, one from the side to show the depth, and one against a ruler or on the scale. No filters, no beauty mode, no colour correction. A buyer who is surprised at inspection walks away; a buyer who gets exactly what the photographs promised comes back.

Honest specifications

Declare treatment. Declare origin if you know it, and say "unknown" if you do not. If the stone has a window, or an inclusion visible under a loupe, write it down. Every experienced buyer expects imperfections and none of them expect to be surprised by one. Undeclared heat treatment is the single most common reason a deal collapses at the laboratory.

A realistic asking price

Look at comparable stones already listed here. Price in US dollars per carat, since that is how the international market thinks. If you genuinely do not know, tick "price on request" and we will help you establish a sensible range against recent market data.

What we do once you have listed

  • Review the listing, usually within 24 hours, and publish it with its own reference number.
  • Filter out casual enquiries so your time is spent only on real buyers.
  • Negotiate on your behalf and bring you every offer worth considering.
  • Arrange laboratory verification where the buyer asks for it.
  • Secure payment before the stone leaves your hands.
  • Handle export paperwork and insured shipping.

Commission and payment

Listing is free. ManikPola charges the seller a brokerage commission of 5% of the agreed price, payable only when a transaction actually completes. Laboratory fees and shipping are quoted separately and always agreed with you in advance. You are paid once the buyer has received and accepted the stone.
